The closest airport is Reno, Nevada, which is about 30 minutes away. Sacramento and
San Francisco/Oakland airports are about 2 hours and 3 hours away respectively.
North Lake Tahoe is a beautiful resort town known for both winter and summer sports activities.
There are many world class ski resorts within a short distance of the hotel (free shuttles are
available). Scott can offer some planning assistance if anyone is interested in staying for one
of the weekends on either side of the meeting.

The contract is in place with the Hyatt Regency and JPL. Our reservations are for Sunday,
Feb 17, thru Thursday, Feb 21.
The room rate will be $99.00 per night. We have 35 rooms blocked for Sunday thru Wednesday night,
and 20 rooms blocked for Thursday night. The meeting is currently anticipated to be finished
by Thursday. To ensure this room rate, please make your reservations early as the block at
this price is limited. I request people to make their reservations no later than January 25, 2002.
