This is just a brief summary of the INMS activity on DOY 004.
We will submit a more detailed report later.
- Despite some early problems with our SOPC, we received a very reliable data
push, with no dropped packets and a data lag on the order of seconds. INMS
powered on, loaded flight software, and performed an MRO of RAM space.
The activities took approximately 30 minutes to execute out of the
background sequence. After differencing the data dumped from the
spacecraft with the predicted dump file, we found no differences. All
instrument temperatures and currents were nominal.
- INMS is ready to begin the main portion of their instrument checkout on DOY
005. After coordinating with MIMI and CAPS, it appears that we will be
able to begin our real-time commanding at approximately 06:40 UTC on DOY
005. Nominally we plan to send five real-time commands between that time
and the time that the INMS baseline test begins execution from the
background sequence (16:15 UTC).
